Duc got a chance to finish the game early on with a nice mating attack. The following position occured after
move 25. ... Nf4 26. Qc2??
Now 26. ... Nh3+ 27. gxh Rf3 and Duc had his opponents king nicely boxed. Rf3 simply denies white a chance to play f4 and get his rooks in the game or have his queen return to the king side. There is no way white can now deny black the continuation Nxh3 and Bh4 and since white has no perpetual check the game was practically over at this point.
